Earl Schemerle is so Dreamy

i had spoken before about my fascination with Chris Thrash's work and have seriously thought about getting the same Rock-afire Explosion set-up in my basement to enjoy and occasionally scare the neighbors with. but for now, i will just admire Chris' best work from afar...until my nerve pills kick in :).

bed bugs are biting

here we go.
I have this dream that wakes me up in the middle of the night panicked. a dream so intense that i literally spring out of bed as if to scatter the memory off my pillowcase. shortness of breath followed by an urge to scream...loudly and breathlessly.
i am not like my husband or my daughter. i cannot just wake to a safe reality when dreaming. my dreams have always been lucid and in technicolor.but with this one, i want to shake it off but my brain is tricky - it carries the dream scene after scene even though my eyes have awoke to discover something new. i want freedom but the ideas and images remain. and so it plays over and over...what is the message? there has to be one if this imaginary world is vacating the real.
i hate this. i hate knowing that this will happen again. i hate staying up later than i should and being tired the next day. i hate knowing i have no control when i am most vulnerable...

God, if I may...how about you send me a message through the newspaper classifieds? maybe through a headline from Ann Curry? or perhaps even in my Alpha-Bits? because only YOU could implant something so provocative...so unnerving in me that i cannot ignore IT awake or asleep.

wow.
feel kinda like Danica Patrick these last few days but without all the money...fortune...& fame. it always seems like things get crazy insane before vacay but that just makes you appreciate the time away so much more :). Lilli has gone on tilt with the countdown clock as we have 6 days until we become castaways on New Smyrna Beach . In the meantime...

1. Lilli has been taking swim class and is two fins shy of being a fish. The first one was complete Hell but somehow Coach Popp got her to loosen up by the second episode. Now she gets her jollies from jumping off the diving board.
2. Went to KSU about taking steps towards an Executive MBA. Info meeting is next Thursday so hopefully I can squeeze that in. Looks like studying for the GMAT might become my new hobby :).
3. Lilli will switch schools in the fall. We have met three times with school administrators the last two weeks and are excited and nervous about the change. Just hope this will help her academically since she seems to have no qualms socializing. Kinda getting tired of the whole "Lilli is just Lilli - she marches to the beat of her own drum." I just hope she likes yoga :).
4. We were given tickets to go see Lifehouse next week after we already sold our original pair. Seriously... anybody wanna swap for Black Crowes? Maybe Coldplay? I'll even take PBR seats :). Evidently we cannot escape the musical stylings of Jason Wade.
5. Just I have been involved with Relay, Todd has been working on a team for Light the Night. The event will be in October @ Centennial Park. He has a fundraising goal set at $2500 so if you know anyone (hint) that would like to participate by walking (hint, hint) or donating (triple hint), just let us know :).

You know what is awesome? These are the things that I consider the most "pressing" issues of my life right now. How blessed are we?

Funny how music can trigger such random thoughts...
The Harrison Household is up for a crazy couple of weeks but I can't help but feel more blessed right now than I ever have been. Alot of that is attributed to us being loved and supported by great friends and family. I am a firm believer in God placing people in your life to share certain pieces, if not all of situations, for a reason. I have had many people come & go in my short lifetime and some partings hurt more than others. But just when you think you know the direction of the path, God puts a fork in it and another adventure lies ahead of you. You meet new people on the journey and they fill a new spot in your life that you never knew you had available.
And of course there are those who remain in your life no matter what. Those are the ones that mean the most. Because no matter what changes are made or what words are exchanged, those are the people I think God sends to reassure us angels do exist. I thank Him everyday for the angels in my life.
